Who are the Dancing Monkeys?:



Geoffrey Brown , Co-Executive Producer, is an entertainer who has been performing in and around the Atlanta theatre and music world for more than twenty years. As an actor he has performed with theatres and troupes all over the city including the Aurora Theatre, Dad's Garage, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, Neighborhood Playhouse, OnStage Atlanta, Noble Productions, Kudzu Playhouse, Stone Mountain Park and Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program. In addition to his work onstage, Geoffrey has been a writer, producer, director, stage manager, music coordinator, master carpenter, set designer, property master and sound/light technician. Geoffrey is also a musician currently working on his first solo album. He is a member of several bands including The Lost Boys, Karma Lingo and The Brogues.



Aaron Gotlieb, Co-Executive Producer, is a puppeteer and actor who has been performing around the southeast United States for just over ten years. He has been a regular performer at The Center for Puppetry Arts, Theater Arts Guild and Walt Disney World, as well as a guest performer with Essential Theater, Ninja Puppet, Chattahoochee Theatre Ensemble, TheaterWorks and Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program. Behind the scenes, he has designed and built puppets, been a stage manager, props designer, and general theater technician for companies throughout Georgia.



Caitlin Ward, Dancing Monkey's Production Assistant, is a theatre tech, costume designer and dancer who performed professionally with Gwinnett Ballet Theatre and Celtic Moves dance companies. In addition to her dancing, Caitlin has assisted and teched for various companies around Atlanta including Aurora Theatre, Theatre Decatur, Push Push Theatre, Savage Tree Arts Group, Brenau University and Laughing Matters. She has also assisted in the coordination of two summer dance and martial arts camps for children. Caitlin trained for three years at Firespark Theatre Arts Program and is a 1st dan black belt in American Kenpo Karate.



Adam Montague, Dancing Monkey's Education Director, has a BS Ed. from Columbus State University where he studied Theatre Education. He has been a teaching artist with companies around the Southeast including, Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program, the Springer Academy at Springer Opera House and Kentucky's Lexington Children's Theatre.



Topher Payne, Dancing Monkey's Head Writer, is the author of the column "Maybe It's Just Me" appearing weekly in David Magazine. He has garnered acclaim nationwide for his plays, including Beached Wails, Bad Mama, The Attala County Garden Club, Perfect Arrangement, and Don't Look at the Fat Lady. He starred in the film Str8 Chaser, which won the Audience Award at the 2006 Out on Film Festival in Atlanta. His writings have appeared in Southern Voice, The Washington Blade, and Houston Voice, among others. Topher's first book, Necessary Luxuries: Notes on a Semi-Fabulous Life, is in bookstores now.
